Mrs. Eloise Mae Boersema's Obituary
Mrs. Eloise M. Boersema, 85, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 24, 2015 in Muskegon. She was born May 23, 1930 to Clarence and Margaret (Mulder) Wagner in Muskegon, and lived most of her life in this area. She had worked for Boersema TV Sales and Service before retiring in 1986, was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church, enjoyed all kinds of crafts, and also loved entertaining and hosting events at her home. Mrs. Boersema married Leonard A. Boersema on June 25, 1948, and he preceded in death on August 20, 2006. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Deborah (David) Arnson, Marlyce (Jim) Hammitt, Shelley (Mike) Black, Brian (Jill) Boersema, Karen (Ralph) Williams III; 15 grandchildren, Nathan (Suzan) Marakowitz, Amber (Alan) Mayville, Harley (Amanda) Arnson, Jim (Tara) Hammitt, Jeana (Mikey Unger) Hammitt, Joana (Kevin) Baldermann, Jeremy (Veronica Fiegel) Black, Nicole Black, Ryan (Ashleigh) Boersema, Matt Boersema, Jacob Boersema, Erin Boersema, Jessica (Brendon) Kemink, Kathy Oglesbee, Colt (Sally) Erickson; 18 great-grandchildren, Jordan Hammitt, Jase Baldermann, Cailyn Baldermann, Tanner Hammitt Tesdahl, Emmerich Rodriquez, Remington Kemink, Landon Kemink, Bryce Allison, Emery Oglesbee, Charlotte Oglesbee, Alden Erickson, Savannah Preist, Emily Preist, Alex Preist, Reece Hosmer, Ellery Mayville, Henry Mayville, Sawyer Arnson; 1 brother-in-law, Bob Scanlon. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Clarise J. Scanlon. The funeral service for Mrs. Boersema will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 30, at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. Visitation at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 will be from 2-5 PM Sunday, November 29, and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery.
