Mrs. Elouise C. Mitchell's Obituary
Mrs. Elouise C. Mitchell, age 86, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Spring Lake. Mrs. Mitchell was born December 9, 1928 to Marion and Leonia (Grant) Loehr in Bitely, MI. On July 26, 1946 she married Thomas Mitchell and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2006. Elouise was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church where she was involved with the Mission Guild and Bible study groups. Toots enjoyed crocheting and knitting, bird watching and gardening. She was a member of the Bunco Club for over 50 years and had been a Brownie Scout leader for her daughters. She is SURVIVED by her children, Georgianna K. Mitchell of Seaford, DE, and Thomas O. Mitchell of Muskegon; her grandchildren, Tracy Kaminski, Karen Pitsley, Jackie Snouffer and Steven Bartollameoli; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Nora (Clifford) Harris of Bitely, MI; sisters-in-law, Marlene Rhowmine, Florence (Ralph) Cousineau and Ruth Gleason. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia L. Mitchell, brothers, James and Frederick Loehr; and sisters, Eileen Rhowmine and Opal Gleason. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 12 Noon Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Fellowship Reformed Church, 4200 E. Apple Ave., with Rev. Mike VanKampen officiating. VISITATION will be 6-8 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 1-231-726-5210. Memorial Contributions may be made to Fellowship Reformed Church. Burial will be made in Egelston Township Cemetery.
