Elsie Ann Belanger's Obituary
Elsie A. Belanger, age 89, passed away Sunday morning, July 17, 2016. She was born January 15, 1927 in Northport, MI to Wencil and Molly (Kirt) Kolarik. Mrs. Belanger worked for Muskegon Piston Ring before retiring in 1972. On April 15, 1944 she married Elmer “Skip” Belanger in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2012. She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, and had volunteered for many years on the funeral luncheon committee. Mrs. Belanger was an excellent cook, enjoyed doing needle work, and polka dancing. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Gloria J. Bromley of Ravenna; 2 grandchildren: Morgan Mirkle of Twin Lake and Jennifer Mirkle of Ravenna; and 2 great-grandchildren: Fisher and Bowden. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Arthur and Jacob Kolarik. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 and one hour prior at the church.
