Mrs. Elsie E. Gust's Obituary
Mrs. Elsie E. Gust, age 81, passed away Thursday morning, August 23, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born November 25, 1930 to Charles and Elsie (Curtis) Davis in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Elsie was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, enjoyed sewing, making crafts, and bowling. She had been a Girl Scout Leader for many years, was also involved with the Boy Scouts, and had been employed by Visiting Nurses. On May 9, 1953 she married Robert G. Gust in Muskegon, and he survives her along with 3 children, Pamela (Daniel) Shunta of Twin Lake, Linda Gust of Norton Shores, James (Dennis Fellhauer) Gust of Chicago; 3 grandchildren, Sarah Kokx, Amanda (Jonathon) Thompson, Scott Schindlbeck; 2 great-children, Keara and Briar Kokx; 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Davis of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Clifford Davis; one sister, Julia Cole. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 12:30 PM Saturday, August 25, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Marian Chapel, with the Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service at church, with the Rosary prayed at 11:00 AM.
