Elsie H. Mattison's Obituary
Mrs. Elsie H. Mattison, age 93, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was born on December 12, 1922 in Ferrysburg, Michigan to Fred and Elsie (Bosch) Bramer. On February 3, 1951 she married William Mattison. Together they enjoyed a life of gardening, fishing and camping. They were members of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church. Elsie enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, and will always be remembered for her smile and great sense of humor. They had two children, Mary (Dennis) Hubbell and Terry Mattison. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Dennis) Hubbell; her grandchildren, Megan (Geoff) Dean, Collin Hubbell, Katy (Blamer) Baryames; her great-grandchildren, Addison and Carter whom she enjoyed when they came to visit; sister-in-law, Lynn Bramer; and many nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, William; her son, Terry; and her siblings, Fannie Wilcox, Ann Keift, Jennie Bishop, John Bramer, Ralph Bramer and Roger Bramer. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church (1658 Giles Rd) with Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. Memorial Contributions to the Muskegon Rescue Mission will be appreciated. Burial will take place in Laketon Twp.
