Elsie Mae Waite's Obituary
Elsie Mae Waite, age 85, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021, at The Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence. She was born December 18, 1935, in Manistee, Michigan to John and Helen (Sobisek) Pete.
Elsie was a proud member of The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. She previously worked at Tip-A-Few in Grand Haven. Elsie loved to play Bingo and visit friends, and most of all spending time with her family.
She is lovingly remembered by her 50-year life partner and companion, Karl Parchert; daughter, Vickie Londo; two sons, Mike (Barb) Waite and Joe Waite; seven grandchildren: Lisa (Dennis) Stillson, Stephanie Waite, Kelli Waite, Danielle Habian, Mike (Jeremy) Waite-Kress, Greg (Heather) Waite and Andrea (Brian) Miller; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Mary McCauley and Lillian (Dallas) Varney; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Shawn Londo and her brother, John Pete.
