Elsie Mae King's Obituary
Mrs. Elsie Mae (Larsen) King, age 79, went to join her life-long friend and husband of 56 years, Donald, in the arms of the Lord on Wednesday morning, January 13, 2010. She was born in Muskegon, MI on January 26, 1930 to Theodore and Margaret (Mikula) Larsen. Elsie was a member of Tatra Hall, the Vikings Lodge, and a past President and Board member for 32 years of the GMWBA. She enjoyed her card ladies and their gambling trips. Elsie was a parishioner of St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church and a devoted attendee of adoration. On July 26, 1952 she married Donald E. King in Muskegon who preceded her in death on February 19, 2009. She will be greatly missed by her children, Margaret Clinkenbeard, Kathleen Dye, Cynthia (Dean) Sladoje, and Donald A. (Jean) King. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Shana, Shaun, Kaleigh, Lauren and Alex and great-grandchildren, Breanna and Jacob, and by her sister, Virginia Shaw. Elsie was also preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Genevieve Silvis and Evelyn Andresen. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with Elsie’s family will be from 5-8 PM Friday at
