Mrs. Elvie L. Ritchard's Obituary
Mrs. Elvie Louise Ritchard, age 88, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at her home. She was born August 28, 1924 in Beulah, MI to Jay F. and Florence (Lung) Long; and has resided in the Muskegon area since the age of sixteen. Elvie enjoyed hunting and fishing in her earlier years; and crafts, jigsaw and word search puzzles in later years. She was retired from National Fruit Canning Co. Elvie was a member of Wolf Lake Baptist Church, its Ladies Auxiliary and of the Wood Tazelaar DAV Post #11. On November 9, 1946, in Troy, KS, she married Adam M. Ritchard and he preceded her in death June 1, 2004. SURVIVORS include 7 children, Connie Przybylek of Muskegon, Gary (Rose Gale) Ritchard of Twin Lake, Clayton Ritchard of Muskegon, Charles (Marie) Ritchard of Norton Shores, Marcia (Tracy) Pastoor of Muskegon, Pamela Ritchard of Kalkaska and Elvie (Kevin) Gadberry of Muskegon; 16 Grand Children; 19 great-grandchildren and by several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 5 sisters. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2013 at Wolf Lake Baptist Church, (1070 S. Wolf Lake Rd. Muskegon, MI 49442) with Pastor Burt C. Wachter officiating. Burial will be in Egelston Twp. Cemetery.
