His love of the environment was evident throughout his life and demonstrated in his involvement with the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly and Trout Unlimited. He was a devout man of faith and a dedicated member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. On October 25, 1947, Emert married the former Doris Elaine Larsen and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2006. Harvey (Carol) Lange and Arden (Jean) Lange; many nieces, nephews, and many, many dear friends. In addition to his wife, Emert was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Lange, his brother, Eugene Lange, and his parents. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 21, 2016 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Harvey Lange and Rev. Robert Conradt officiating. VISITATION will be from 3-7 PM Sunday, March 20, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
