Mrs. Emily Damm's Obituary
Mrs. Emily (Sidock) Gould-Damm, 77, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 in Ravenna. She was born August 9, 1939 to John and Lucille (Johnson) Sidock in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. She was a former member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, a former member of the VFW Auxiliary in N. Muskegon, enjoyed board games, crafts, baking, canning and cooking, and sewing. Emily enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite past time was spent playing cards and the “marble game”. She and Robert spent vacations on their sailboat and their winter home in Florida. On December 14, 1957 Emily married Harvey L. Gould, and together they had 5 children, Vicki (Dan) Hilliard, Joe (Keeli) Gould, Rhonda (Mike) Danielson, Carole (Tim) Pruitt, and Todd Gould. On June 27, 1987 she married Robert L. Damm, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2010. She is also survived by 3 step-children, Russell (Nancy) Damm, Daniel (Kathy) Damm, and Bruce Damm; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and sisters, John (Barb) Sidock, Shirley Sidock, Stanley (Carolyn) Sidock, many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother, Betty Dowdy, Joseph Sidock, Pearl McKay, and her parents. The funeral service for Emily will be Thursday, October 6 at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening, and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery.
