Emily Jo Wawrzyniak-Bray's Obituary
Emily J. Wawrzyniak-Bray, age 51, passed away peacefully at The Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence on January 17, 2026, in Muskegon, MI. She was born to Joseph and Pamela (Mattson) Wawrzyniak on December 5, 1974, in Muskegon, MI. Emily graduated with a bachelor’s degree and went on to work as a Lab Technician for nearly 30 years. She married the love of her life Christopher M. Bray on June 29, 2015, in Muskegon, MI. and spent 10 wonderful years with him and their family. Emily was someone who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, drawing, gardening, yardwork, music and food. What really filled her heart was her family, grandchildren, wanting joy for everyone, being surrounded by family and had an infectious laugh that everyone knew. Emily is survived in death by her husband: Christopher Bray; children: Emilia Wawrzyniak, Abigail Bray; stepchildren: Madison (Isaiah Stark) Bray, Carter Bray; grandchildren: Mercy, Ivy; mother: Pamela Wawrzyniak; sisters: Amanda (Matthew) Gerencer, Amber Wawrzyniak, Natalie Blackburn; nieces and nephews: Kane, Kairi, Emerick III, Karyn, Nayanah. She is preceded in death by her father: Joseph Wawrzyniak. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Apple Carr Village Community Building, 516 Courtland Ln, Muskegon, MI. 49442.
