Emma Lou Glieden's Obituary
Mrs. Emma Lou Glieden, age 74, of Muskegon passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was born on September 29, 1942 in Newark, NJ to James and Lillian (Jacquish) Butler. In September of 1997, she married Jim Glieden in Muskegon. Emma loved to travel, play bingo, go to the casino, and was a member of the Lakeside Eagles Club. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her grandchildren and often traveled to see them. She is survived by her husband; children, Theresa Dupont, Patricia (Rick) Fox, Shane (Janet) Glieden, Kevin (Laura) Glieden, and Dean Glieden; brothers, Pete Butler and Tom (Neva) Butler; sisters, Geraldine Sutter and Mary (Norm) Green, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Jr. and Daniel Butler; sister, Ethel Napier, and two infant siblings. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St, 231-798-1100 with Pastor John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be held 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Emma’s name can be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
