Emma Sokoloski's Obituary
Mrs. Emma Sokoloski, age 88, died Monday, June 20, 2005 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on August 10, 1916 to Fred & Ida (Chandonette) Falbe, and had resided here her entire life. Mrs. Sokoloski was retired from Orchard View Schools, after working over 20 years as a cook. She was a charter member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, and a member of their Altar Society. Mrs. Sokoloski loved dancing with the Cardinal Cloggers, and her Orchard View Line Dancing Group. She also loved playing cards, and especially spending time with her great grand babies. On February 1, 1936 she married Jack Sokoloski, and he preceded her in death on July 22, 1986. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her daughter, Rita (Sherman) Wilson of Muskegon, 3 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 siblings, Russell Falbe, Beatrice (William) Freeman, and Lawrence (Jean) Falbe. Mrs. Sokoloski was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Kadrovich on February 10, 1968, and 5 siblings. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Phil Sliwinski presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with the Rosary being prayed at 7:30 PM. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions can be made Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana.
