Emma Vanover's Obituary
Emma Marie Vanover, age 54, of Spring Lake passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 11, 2005, in Elizabethtown, KY. She was born December 25, 1950 to Irvin J. and Nancy (Scofield) Schebel in Pontiac, MI; and she married Bryce R. Vanover on September 29, 1973 in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Mrs. Vanover earned her degree in nursing from Baker College and was a surgical nurse at North Ottawa Community Hospital. She moved to Spring Lake from Berkley, MI 25 years ago. Emma enjoyed her granddaughter, collecting Boyd’s bears and her flowers. Survivors include her husband Bryce; two sons, Bryce (Laura) Vanover of Ft. Knox, KY and Michael Vanover of Spring Lake; a granddaughter, Cassidy Vanover of Ft. Knox, KY; her mother, Nancy Schebel of Oceanside, CA; two sisters, Barbara (Mario) Adamo of Warren, MI and Janette (Louis) Santiago of Oceanside, CA; and nieces and nephews. Her father, Irvin Schebel, preceded her in death.
A funeral service for Emma M. Vanover will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating.
