Emogene VanDyk's Obituary
Mrs. Emogene Van Dyk, age 98, went to be with her Lord on September 26, 2008. The former Emogene Smith married Joe Van Dyk in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1994. Emogene was a life-long resident of Parchment, MI, where she was a member of Calvary Bible Church. She was a former employee of Kalamazoo Valley Paper and a volunteer "Gray Lady" at Bronson Hospital. She enjoyed her family and was always up for a game of Skip-Bo with them, and she remained the undisputed champion until the end. She is survived by her son Arnold (Christine) and 5 grandchildren: Thomas (Mae), Ronald "Joe" (Brenda), Lisa (Greg) Dziewicki, Sara (Terry) DeKoninck, and Stacey Charron; 7 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; brothers William (Wilma), Andy (Betty), Joe (Phyllis) and sister Ann Kokmeyer; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Lupke, and siblings; Garrett, Jennie, Dick, John, Claus, Tillie, Rhine and Lucille. SERVICES will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at
