Mr. Enoch "Bud" Fielstra's Obituary
Mr. Enoch G. “Bud” Fielstra, age 93, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019, in Muskegon. He was born June 13, 1926 to Charles and Grace (Dykstra) Fielstra in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. He supervised tree trimming for Consumers Power for 36 years before retiring in 1984. In his younger years he enjoyed weekend family camping trips, hosting steak cookouts in his backyard, tinkering in his garage, going to flea markets and dancing with his wife at the Fruitport Eagles, where he was member for many years. On March 15, 1974 Bud married Ivry I. Price and she survives him along with 7 children: Roger Fielstra, Vicky J. (John) Jarrell, Sharlene A. (Eddy) Reis, Darlene B. (Asa) Eastling, Penny (Duane) German, Kelly J. Fielstra, Diana (John) Walkendorf; 6 grand, 15 great-grand, several great-great grandchildren; the mother of his children: Sarah Webster; 1 sister: Elaine (Don) Fuller; 1 sister-in-law, Leona Fielstra. Bud was preceded in death by a grandson Adam Fielstra; brother: Charlie Fielstra, Jr.; 2 sisters: Alice Lawie and Bernice DeRuiter; and his best friend Ronald Jack Dill. The funeral service will be Monday, November 25, at 1:00 PM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Contributions in memory of Mr. Fielstra may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
