Erik D. Nordin's Obituary
Mr. Erik D. Nordin, 48, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Anchorage, Alaska. Erik was born April 21, 1967 to Ivan C. and Phyllis J. (Anderson) Nordin in Ann Arbor, and had lived in Alaska for the last 10 years. Before moving to Alaska he spent a number of years in Muskegon where he worshipped at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Erik loved all kinds of sports and was an outstanding athlete in High School. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Ivan and Joanne Nordin; 3 siblings, Jane and Lawrence Bednarz, Beth and Jeff Riviere, Mark and Karen Nordin; six nieces and their families, Michelle (Brent) Jandron, Ty and Henry; Christy (Chris) King, Tori, Christina and Travis; Kelly (Matt) Firing, Betsy and Rhett; Megan (JP) Stokes, Patrick; Tess and Kate. He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis in 2015. A family service to remember Erik’s life will be held later this summer.
