Ernest G. Rebedew's Obituary
Mr. Ernest G. Rebedew, 81, passed away Friday evening, February 3, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born May 24, 1935 to Hiram and Gladys (Brady) Rebedew, Sr. in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Ernie worked at Brunswick for 40 years before retiring, had been a member of St. Jean’s Catholic Church, loved all sports, and traveling. Ernie was a kind, gentle, unselfish man who loved his family and found joy in helping others, volunteering for food pantries, Catholic Charities, Muskegon Rescue Mission, and other community charities. The highlight of Ernie’s life was when God put his loving wife Sharon Lynn in his life. He is survived by 3 daughters, Diane, Debra and Denise Rebedew, all of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Shawn Smith, Amber (Dennis) Warren, and Dillon Baker; 1 brother, Richard (Pat) Rebedew; 2 sisters, Janet Blanshine and Sharon Rebedew; and Ernie’s special friend, Char Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and best friend, Sharon Lynn; 2 brothers, James Rebedew and Hiram Rebedew, Jr. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 10, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to the mass.
