Mr. Ernest William Uber's Obituary
Mr. Ernest William Uber, age 82, passed away early Saturday morning, November 5, 2016 at the Poppen Residence. Ernie was born January 14, 1934 in Muskegon to Edward and Lenore (Califf) Uber and served his country in the United States Army. On July 28, 1979, he married the former Edna Darlene Myrick and she survives him. Ernie had worked as an inspector at Teledyne Continental Motors for more than 44 years, retiring in 1995. Ernie enjoyed stock car racing, baseball, football, and word search. He also loved the time spent with his family. Ernie will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Darlene; his children Martin Uber, Vicki (Ron) Klinger, and Brent M. Uber; stepdaughters, Vicky (Gary) Sowles and Deb (Terry) Murphy; stepsons, Richard (Joan) Thomas and Michael Thomas; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Francis Hannigan; a sister, Helen Charland; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2016 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (1-2PM). INTERMENT in Egelston Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Harbor Hospice or Wolf Lake Baptist Church.
