Ernest E. "Butch" Grawbarger, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Ernest Earl “Butch” Grawbarger, Jr., age 64, of Muskegon, MI, passed away March 4, 2010 following a lengthy illness. He was born August 2, 1945 in Franklin, NC to Ernest and Frances (Miller) Grawbarger, Sr. Butch married the former Kathy L. Caverly-Vargo on July 11, 2003 in Muskegon and she survives him. He worked for Sun Chemical for 25 years. In his liesure, he would spend time hunting, fishing, cooking, painting and wood carving. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Butch is survived by his wife, Kathy Grawbarger of Muskegon; 2 sons, Cory (Michelle) Grawbarger of Big Rock, TN, Shawn (Susan) Grawbarger of Muskegon; 2 step-sons, Benjamin Vargo of Menominee, MI, Alan (Donna) Vargo of Whitehall; 7 grandchildren, Caleb Grawbarger, Joshua Grawbarger, Nathaniel Grawbarger, Jacob Grawbarger, Jackson Grawbarger, Sierra Spaulding; 1 sister, Diana Russell of SC; 1 brother, David Russell, Jr. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nanciesue Eldridge on March 2, 2003 whom he married in August of 1965; and his parents; 1 sister, Phyllis; and 1 brother, Dennis Russell. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Shiloh Tabernacle with Pastor Verne Wright and Pastor Doug Stressman officiating.
