Ernestine Miller's Obituary
Ernestine Ling Miller, age 96, of Spring Lake and Oro Valley, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Casa de la Luz Hospice residence in Tucson, AZ. She was born July 6, 1910, to Ella Maude (Moon) and Ernest M. Ling, M.D in Merrill, Michigan. She married Charles Edwin Miller on June 30, 1934 in Hemlock, Michigan. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1996.
Ernestine graduated from Alma College in 1931 and moved to Spring Lake from Detroit in 1942. She was employed as a first grade teacher for Spring Lake Public Schools, and she was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Spring Lake.
Survivors include 2 sons, Charles (Nancy) Miller, D.D.S. of Whitehall and Donald (Janice) Miller of Spring Lake; a daughter, Susan (Roger) Anderson of St. Johns; a sister, Geraldine Ling, R.N. of Spring Lake; 8 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Ernestine was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Ling, M.D.
A memorial service for Ernestine will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating.
