Estella M. Schutter's Obituary
Mrs. Estella M. Schutter, age 89, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 18, 2006 in Muskegon. She was born May 26, 1917 to Ray and Dorothy (Saloame) Walker in Muskegon, and lived most of her life here. She had worked as a bookkeeper at Schutter’s Hardware for 35 years, was a member of the Gospel Chapel in Grand Haven, and formerly the Gospel Chapel in Muskegon. She belonged to the Muskegon Couples Bible Study, enjoyed reading and crocheting. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. Estella married her husband of 71 years, Charles J. “Charlie” Schutter on June 29, 1935 in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her husband Charlie; 5 children, Janice (John) VanDyke of Spring Lake, Sharon (Wayne) Bomgaars of Norton Shores, Linda (David) Ruiter of Grand Haven, Kenneth Schutter of Dowagiac, MI, Terry (Kathy) Schutter of Union, MI; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Kenneth (Diane) Walker of Montague; 2 sisters, Norma (Robert) Carter of Muskegon, Shirley (Harold) Brown of N. Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Dora and Rhoda Schutter. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Schutter; 3 brothers, Harry, John, and Ray Walker; 3 sisters, Dorothy Edie, Louise Stargaard, and Margaret Shineldecker.
