Estella M. "Stella" Adams' Obituary
Mrs. Estella “Stella” Adams, age 43, passed away at home, unexpectedly of natural causes, Wednesday morning. Stella was born in Reed City on October 22, 1966 to Jack and Grace (Schort) VanWestrienen and was raised in Big Rapids. She moved to Muskegon from Grand Rapids in 1998. Stella enjoyed karaoke, camping, animals and times at the beach. She was a tireless volunteer at Celebration Community Church and was a Pink Hat Lady. Stella married Mr. David A. Adams in Muskegon on April 2, 1999 and he survives her along with: two children, Alyssa and Jeffrey Fisher of Norton Shores; parents, Jack and Grace VanWestrienen, Sr. of Rodney, MI; three step-children, Jason, Kathryn and Erica Adams; a grandson, Brayden; four brothers, Jack (Terry) VanWestrienen, Jr., Stuart VanWestrienen, Garrett (Anne) VanWestrienen and Kenneth (Linda) West; five sisters, Jane (Charles) Gross, Susan (Keith) Marrs, Grace (Randy) Fisher, Stacey (John) Lane and Jean Lumbert; 19 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews and close friends, Erika & Kathryn Pinkham. The Funeral Service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 23, 2010 with Rev. Greg Stamm officiating. Visitation: one hour prior. Memorial contributions to the family will be appreciated.
