Estelle Cousineau's Obituary
Mrs. Estelle Elizabeth Cousineau, age 95, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008. Mrs. Cousineau was born April 18, 1913 to Fred and Sophie (Engel) Radel in Muskegon. On December 29, 1945 she married David Cousineau in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1980. Estelle proudly served her country in the U.S. Army during WWll. She was a lifelong member of Orchard View Congregational Church where she was a member of the Friendship Circle. She was also a member of Friends of Hackley Library. Estelle is survived by her children, Susan (Terry) McGovern, Alan Cousineau and Kevin Cousineau all of Muskegon, Autumn (Robert) Stanley of Chico, CA, Delores (Bill) Buckley of Muskegon, Carol Balcom of Grand Haven and Rebecca (John) White of Encinitas, CA; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brian Harvey) McGovern, Michael Stanley, Matthew (Ashley) Stanley, Adam (Veronica) White, Katie White, Alec (Tammy) Buckley, Mark (Sandy) Buckley, Shannon McGovern, Nathan (Amy) McGovern and Kristin (Nick) Deaton; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Caryll Wright of Paradise, CA; several nieces and nephews; and “special grandchildren”, Adam and Matthew Bedwin, Tina and Kris Gutowski, Morgan Hennings, Evan and Jeremy McGovern. Estelle was preceded in death by her best friend of 90 years, Lucille Burghout; 2 brothers, Maynard and Forrest Radel; and 1 sister, June Ernvall.
