Esther L. Vander Hoff's Obituary
Esther Louise Vander Hoff, age 84, of Spring Lake passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in a Muskegon hospital. She was born November 25, 1921, to John W. and Barbara (Hofbauer) Erickson in Grand Rapids, MI; and she married Kenneth J. Vander Hoff on November 9, 1946 in Grand Rapids. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1992.
A former resident of the area, Mrs. Vander Hoff resided in Portland and Grand Rapids, MI prior to returning to Spring Lake four years ago. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren, and traveling with her cousin Dorothy Hokanson to countries around the world.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth J. (Janet) Vander Hoff Jr., Cumming, GA; Steven (Nanette) Vander Hoff, Spring Lake; James H. (Mary) Vander Hoff, Cranford, NJ; David W. (Carol) Vander Hoff, Jacksonville, FL; Mark J. (Patricia) Vander Hoff, Cary, NC; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine and Lucille, and her brother James.
