Ethel J. Ferrier's Obituary
Ethel J. Ferrier, age 86, passed away on October 7, 2020 at home surrounded by family. She was born on June 25, 1934 to George and Lila (Frizzel) Mudge. Ethel was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed every moment at the Muskegon River. On June 2, 1976, she married Francis Ferrier and he survives her along with her children, Michael (Sandy) Ferrier, Lonn (Linda) Ferrier, Kathleen (Randy Hoffmeyer) Boomer, Lorraine (David) Milliron, Janet (Gene) Ryan, Barbara (Tim) Bour, Douglas Ferrier, Francis (Pam) Ferrier II, Randy (Marie) Ferrier, Kenneth (Deb) Ferrier, Joseph (Vicki) Ferrier, Patrick (Julie) Ferrier; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Betty Rice. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Edward Ferrier; daughter, Patsy Gilmore; brothers, Lawrence Thomas, Elmer Thomas, Robert Mudge and Jack Stevens. The family wishes to thank the nurses from Harbor Hospice. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, October 16, 2020 at St. Thomas Catholic Church (3252 Apple Ave.) with Rev. Fr. Douglas Braun presiding. VISITATION with Ethel’s family will be held 5-7pm Thursday, October 15 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444. MEMORIALS can be directed to Harbor Hospice Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
