Ethel Milkamp's Obituary
Mrs. Ethel Milkamp, age 96, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, Christmas morning, December 25, 2005, in South Holland, IL. She was born April 13, 1909 in Muskegon to Harry & Clara (Retsema) Sterenberg and had resided in the area until moving to Grand Haven in 1967 and then to South Holland, in 1998. Ethel was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church of Lansing, IL and was formerly a member of Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church of Muskegon and of First Christian Reformed Church of Grand Haven. On November 21, 1934 she married Harold Milkamp and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1985. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Carolyn (James) Clousing of Highland, IN; 4 grandchildren, Cheryl (Mark) Lubbers, Linda (Charles) Zandstra, Ronald Clousing and Julie (Kevin) Hengeveld; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Jay (Hazel) Sterenberg of Muskegon and 2 sisters, Berniece Ossink of Anniston, AL and Helen (James) Powell of Muskegon. She was also preceded in death by her brother Edward Sterenberg; and sisters, Alvina Barsema and Kathryn Schuitema. SERVICES will be 11 AM Thursday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210).VISITATION with the family will be one-hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial you are asked to consider the Christian School of your choice.
