Mrs. Ethel Lee Reese's Obituary
Mrs. Ethel Lee, age 87, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her home. Ethel was born October 9, 1929 in Detroit to Herbert and Maude (Young) Harris. She married Melvin Reese on December 7, 1952 and he passed away in 1982. Ethel had worked as a security guard at Standard Automotive prior to her retirement in 1993. She is a member of the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Ethel also served as a foster grandparent and was very active in Muskegon Heights politics. Ethel is survived by her son, Melvin Reese, her daughter, Debra (Willie) Gilbert; 2 grandchildren, Shalonda Reese and Chandra Kelley; 10 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Anna Jean Dushon and Louise Bell; a sister-in-law, Barbra Reese-Jones; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Niki. She was preceded in death by her parents; a great great grandson; 2 brothers; and 6 sisters. No Memorial Services will be held.
