We have many fond memories of Aunt Ethel (and Uncle Mike), especially around the Christmas season. Over the years, Ethel could be found at my mom's house on Wednesday's at lunch time. And many times, laying in the yard even when it was partly cloudy and in the 60's. She is now where the weather is always warm and the sun is always shining. God be with the Reid and Strach families, as He is with Ethel and Mike.

Living in California I had the best of times meeting up with Aunt Ethel and Uncle Mike when they would get away from the snow and come West. I would meet up with them in Palm Springs and we would lay out at the pool for hours getting tan then we would get dressed up and going out to a wonderful dinner. Las Vegas was another favorite destination they loved going to and we would all get pool side suites at the Desert Inn. Aunt Ethel and Uncle Mike use to go there so much the Desert Inn always comped all our rooms for free! We would again lay by the pool during the day then at night go to dinner have a wonderful meal and after go to the casino and play Black Jack and Slots till all hours of the evening.
I was just home in Muskegon for Thanksgiving and am so happy Howard and I were able to go see and visit with her Janet and meet Freddie at the Assisted Living facility.
I know Aunt Ethel is with Uncle Mike now probably laying by a pool relaxing getting a tan!

So sorry to read of Ethel's passing..She and Mike were good friends and customers of mine and my wife Joanne's. We had good times with Mike and Ethel in Las Vegas maybe her and Joanne will meet up in heaven...Rest in peace..Ted Bowman.
