Ethel C. Policka's Obituary
Mrs. Ethel C. Policka, age 89, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 at a local hospital. She was born February 3, 1920 in Whitehall, MI to Oliver and Carrie (Kolinski) Christensen. She married Edward A. Policka in Muskegon on September 13, 1940. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2003. Besides being a homemaker, Ethel was an Avon Representative for more than 20 years. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge and loved gardening, bowling and spending time with her family. She is survived by: her children, Stanley J. (Cheryl) Policka, Steven Policka and Marilyn K. (Russ) Sustaita all of Norton Shores; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Policka in 2007 and 1 brother, Theodore Christensen. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Strattan officiating at
The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St.(231) 798-1100. Visitation will be held Tuesday, one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Mausoleum.
