Ethelyn "Adeline" Walters' Obituary
Mrs. Ethelyn A. “Adeline” Walters, age 93, passed away Wednesday morning, August 26, 2009 in Muskegon. She was born February 25, 1916 to Delbert and Mary (Rockel) Vinton in Fremont, MI, and lived in Muskegon for most of her life. Mrs. Walters was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, had been president of the Women’s Society of the church, and directed the cherub choir. She also enjoyed playing the piano, doing cross-word puzzles, and making delicious pies. Her family and church were her life. On November 16, 1935 she married Clarence L. Walters. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2001. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Dale (Alice) Walters of Muskegon, Darrel (Carol) Walters of Ambler, PA, Sandra (Louis) Branch of Muskegon, Bob (Marilyn) Walters of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren, Mark (Kathy) Walters, Scott (Michele) Cooley, Brenda (Daniel) Snider, Julie Loudermilk, Jennifer (Glenn) Bubser, Johanna Walters (husband Brian Sweeney), Lisa (Rick) FlorJancic, Steven (Jennifer) Walters, Michael Walters, Stacy Walters; 3 step-grandchildren, Louis (Sara) Branch, Carol (Troy) Geiger, and Stephanie Branch; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Jack (Mae) Vinton of Muskegon; her twin-sister, Evelyn Nelson of Muskegon; long-time friend, Eliene Cloud. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Saturday at the Lakeside United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gil Boersma officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W.
