Ethelyn Marie Lincoln's Obituary
Mrs. Ethelyn Marie Lincoln, age 87, passed away early Sunday morning, May 8, at a local hospital. Mrs. Lincoln was born August 4, 1917 in Keene Township, MI, to Edward Earl and Lula May (Loper) Lewis. On July 10, 1938, she married Morris Jay Lincoln in Muir, MI. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1988 in their home town of Dundee, MI. Ethelyn spent 65 years in the Dundee area working as both a telephone operator at Michigan Associates Telephone Company and 20 years as a receptionist for Dundee Cement prior to her retirement in 1979. She was active in the VFW and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling as well as being part of the Sisters of Pythan organization. A private MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at a later date. Interment will be made in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundee Twp., MI. Ethelyn is survived by her son Robert (Jean) Lincoln of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Myrtle (Marvin) Sage of Muir, MI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, James Lee Lincoln who passed away November 19, 2002 and Edward Earl Lincoln who passed away in September 2003.
