Mr. Eugene A. Bodnar's Obituary
Mr. Eugene A. Bodnar, passed away on April 15, 2015. He was 83 years old. Eugene was born on April, 9, 1932. He graduated from WMU in 1954 and was employed by Muskegon Heights Schools and later Mona Shores Middle School until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the K of C Council 706 and an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Eugene enjoyed golfing, traveling, reading, and during retirement volunteering at local schools. He was a quiet, kind, generous, caring man who will be deeply missed. Eugene is survived by Arlee, his wife of 55 years; son, David Bodnar; daughter, Lisa (Todd) Peterson; 4 grandchildren, Hannah and Haley Bodnar, and Brett and Holly Peterson; brother, Louis Bodnar; and sister, Carolyn (Jim) McClain. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Bodnar; and step-father, Herbert Strohm. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11 AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Norton Shores Public Library.
