Eugene "Bill" Boot's Obituary
Mr. Eugene “Bill” Boot, age 93, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012. He was born in Amoy, China to Harry and Anna (Meengs) Boot.
Bill was a member of Spring Lake Christian Reformed Church and served in the US Army during WWII. He was a retired Christian High School Teacher. He was a prolific reader and enjoyed watching the birds, but most of all he loved his family.
On June 17, 1943 he married the former Mary Bolema in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2005. He is survived by 5 children: Rev. Joel (Karen) Boot of Jenison, Judy (Doug) VanderMeer of Grand Rapids, Dan (Carol) Boot of Grand Rapids, Dave Boot of Pueblo, CO and Deb Boot of Ann Arbor; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings.
A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Cemetery.
