Mr. Eugene Scott Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Eugene Scott Jr., age 73, passed away Monday morning, September 7, 2015, at his home. Eugene was born May 25, 1942 in Starkville, MS to Eugene and Verla (Townsel) Scott Sr. Eugene was a very sociable person. He loved Jesus first, his pastor, and his church family. He never met a stranger; there was never a dull moment when Eugene was well. He loved giving, and of course, receiving. Eugene’s love for children was beyond measure and children loved him back. He is survived by his brothers, Rommie Lee Scott of Muskegon, Donald Wayne (Sherry) Scott of Southfield, Douglas Lynn (Sally) Scott of Muskegon, Derrick Kenneth (Katrina) Scott of Kalamazoo and Cedric Harlan (Glenda) Scott of Muskegon; sisters, Ada L. Scott of Muskegon, Marvella Scott of Muskegon, Ernestine Boyd of Kalamazoo, and Frances Bournes of Detroit; sister-in-law, Asaline Scott of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Scott; sister, Dorsey Smith; and brother-in-law, Anthony Boyd. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2015 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 412 E. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon Heights with District Elder Avery Burrell officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (12-1 PM) at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made the National Down Syndrome Society. Interment will be made in Oakwood Cemetery.
