Eugene G. Robar's Obituary
Mr. Eugene G. Robar, age 82, passed away Monday morning, January 9, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born February 10, 1923 to Samuel M. and Madeline (Williams) Robar in Alma, MI, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Mr. Robar worked at Muskegon Piston Ring for 42 years before retiring, was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. On May 8, 1943 he married Martha Anne Howe in Morganfield, Kentucky, and she preceded him in death on March 1, 1975. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Paul Robar of Cincinnati, OH, Steven (Eufemia) Robar of Riverview, FL, Jack Robar of Del City, Oklahoma, Lee (Maria) Robar of Muskegon, Gerri (Tim) Bresina of Chippewa Falls, WI; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, James (Lorna) Robar of East St. Louis, MI, Richard (Esther) Robar of S. Bend, IN. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, David Robar; 1 brother, Robert Robar, and his companion, Lorraine Veenstra. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Thursday at
Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave. www.sytsemafh.com with Rev. Robert J. Conradt officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorials: American Heart Association.
