Gentleman Gene - Engineer and master of the brown dress shoe pimp string. Floor hockey finger-buster. So many memories flood back to me. Late nights of snowmobiling and working on them. Long nights of air hockey grudge matches on your grandparent's 3-season porch (and the accompanying smashed knuckles and occasional broken window). Aerosmith at home, in the car, and anywhere inbetween. A little school skipping thrown in here and there. We were good kids, but we absolutely knew how to enjoy life. I am so sorry that life and miles between us put an end to our time together. OV Class of '77 is so far gone now. But when it's quiet and I have a chance to think, the memories are as fresh as new-fallen powder in the pines. You and Steve have both gone on now. Our tight-knit circle shrinks. But I can still taste the ice cold beer and smell the 2-cycle oil hanging in the cold, clear Michigan winter night. An Aerosmith song takes me right back again. We stay young and together in our memories until we're reunited on the other side.
Until then, rest easy, bro. I'll play some Aerosmith tonight in our honor.##imported-begin##Jeff Wood##imported-end##
