Eunice L. Adams' Obituary
Mrs. Eunice Lorraine Adams, age 91, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 in Muskegon after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on February 24, 1925 to Albert and Martha (Klein) Kooi. Eunice graduated from Calvin College and had worked as a teacher and social worker. She was a past member of Christ Community Church and a member of Fruitport Christian Reformed Church. On January 20, 1959, Eunice married Harold E. Adams and they were married for over 51 years. Eunice was a devoted homemaker and dedicated to raising their eight children. She was a North Ottawa Hospice volunteer, avid walker, and accomplished musician. She is survived by six children, Harold “Randy” (Gayle) Adams of Coconut Creek, Florida, William (Pat) Adams of Fruitport, John “Jack” (Yuki) Adams of Sasebo, Japan, Thomas (Gail) Adams of Grand Haven, James (Kimberlee) Adams of Fruitport and Catherine (Christopher) Uganski of Norton Shores; two daughters-in-law, Sylvia Street and Christine Adams; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Wolz and Esther Tjapkes; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Kooi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Adams; two sons, Michael Adams and Steven Adams and one brother, Albert Kooi. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 19, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Richard Rhem officiating. VISITATION will be from 4-7 PM Sunday, September 18, 2016 at The Lee Chapel. MEMORIALS to Harbor Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association – Great Lakes Chapter would be appreciated. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
