Eunice H. (Thrasher) Fenton's Obituary
Eunice H. (Thrasher) Fenton, age 86, passed away in Muskegon Thursday morning following a brief illness. She was born in Kentucky the fifth of eight children to Archie and Ethel (Martin) Alexander and at the age of 3 the Alexander’s moved to Mancelona, MI. In 1945, Eunice Thrasher moved to Whitehall, she found employment as a baker at the Goody Goody Restaurant, eventually purchasing the restaurant. She retired from the Docker’s Restaurant, owned by her son, Gary in 2003. Eunice was a former member of the Central Assembly of God Church and the Michigan Restaurant Association. She is survived by: three sons, Rodrick (Shannon) Alexander of Mancelona, Hoby (Patty) Thrasher of N. Muskegon and Gil Thrasher of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene (Harold) Wildfong and Dorothy (Robert) Wildfong both in Mancelona. She was preceded in death by: her husband Elmer Fenton in 1980; a daughter, Charlotte Harms in 1989; and her son Gary this past August. The funeral service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 11:00 A.M., Monday, Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating.
