Eveline (Ackerberg) Kurtzweil's Obituary
Mrs. Eveline (Ackerberg) Kurtzweil, age 91, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Kurtzweil was born July 1, 1915 to Albert and Elizabeth (Bodga) Pulaski in Whitehall. She lived most of her life in the Fruitland Township area where she was a charter member of Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church serving as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and was a part of the Covenant Women’s Group. In 1964, she married Marvin Kurtzweil and he preceded her in death in 1970. Mrs. Kurtzweil enjoyed her breakfast group from church. She also enjoyed doing embroidery and crafts, having made quilts for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took pleasure in going to Johnson Hall for their senior group. She is survived by her 5 children, Eloise (Harold) Gundersen of Benton Harbor, Marilyn (Philip) Spring of Muskegon, James (Marie) Ackerberg of Hesperia, Carol Boersema and Frank (Terry) Ackerberg, all of Muskegon; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 granddaughter; 1 grandson; and 13 brothers and sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 29 at Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church, 4283 N. Weber Rd. with Rev. Brian Kyle officiating. Interment: Fruitland Township Cemetery. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
