Evelyn Jean Doubles' Obituary
Evelyn Jean Doubles, age 77, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 6, 2021 at home. She was born September 19, 1944 in Shelby, MI to Morris and Leona Hunt and grew up in Montague. Evelyn was a 1962 graduate of Glendale High School in Arizona and then moved back to Michigan to complete her studies and graduated from Michigan State University in 1966. On September 28, 1968, she married George A. Doubles in Muskegon. She attended Family Bible Church (the former Parkside Alliance Church) for over 35 years and was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles. SURVIVORS include her husband, George; son, Paul (fiancée, Christine Feehan) Doubles of Muskegon; brother, Jack (Dee) Hunt; sisters: Marlene (Jim) Latham and Dorothy (Russ) Gunderson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, George “Joe” Doubles in 2004; brother, Frank Hunt; half-brothers: Rufus, Henry, George, Walter, Marion, and Leonard Hunt; and a half-sister, Mary Gleason. VISITATION with the family will be held from 2-4 PM Friday, December 10, 2021 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441 (231) 759-8565. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Family Bible Church.
