Mrs. Evelyn Hattie Drzewicki's Obituary
Evelyn Hattie Drzewicki, age 98, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was born April 4, 1921 to Frank and Laura (Maslowski) Witkowski in Cedar, MI. On September 15, 1945 she married Joseph L. Drzewicki in Isadore, MI and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2004. Evelyn was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where she served in the Altar Guild and with the Catholic Daughters, and later became a member St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She had also been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie # 2106, where she and her husband loved to polka dance. Evelyn also loved to cook and travel up north to spend time with relatives. She is survived by her children, Frederick (Patricia) Drzewicki and Grace (Douglas) Rose; her grandchildren, Richard (Laurie) Drzewicki, Christine (John) Terpenning, Kelly (Mike) St. Martin, Tracy (Jamie) Drzewicki, Jennifer (Doug) Eacker, Major Shaw (Jennifer) Locke, Joshua (Dr. Casey) Locke and Magen (Dr. Kristopher) Weemes; 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Richard; and sisters, Grace Mazurek and Phyllis Swiertz. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 12 Noon, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 3252 E. Apple Ave., with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (11:00 am-Noon). Memorial Contributions may be made to the church. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
