Evelyn Grimard's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Grimard, age 79, passed away Friday, February 25, 2005. She was born February 9, 1926 in Phillipy, TN, to B.D. and Sfornia (Hayse) Howerton and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She attended Unity United Methodist Church. On October 4, 1947, she married David L. Grimard and he survives her along with 5 children, David A. “Tony” (Marsha) Grimard of Muskegon, Alan (Connie) Grimard of Stapleton, AL, Norma (Harry) Winters of Cannelton, IN, Michael (Carrie) Grimard of Oden, IN, Lynette Grimard of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren, Patricia, Kari, David, Melissa, Jeremy, Jason, Matt; 2 great granddaughters, Johanna, Meara; 3 sisters, Lois Mitchell of Troy, TN, Betty Glidewell and Faye (Jay) Williams both of Tiptonville, TN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Desiree, 3 brothers and 1 sister. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210. VISITATION will be 3-5 and 7-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. INTERMENT will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Unity United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
