Evelyn C. Jensen's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn C. Jensen, age 93, died Monday evening, December 17, 2012 in Spring Lake, MI. She was born September 15, 1919 to Leslie and Anna (Schmiedeknecht) Franklin in Claybanks Township, Oceana County; and has resided in the Muskegon area virtually all her life. Evelyn had previously worked as a secretary at for Kaydon Engineering and Trinity Lutheran School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a charter member of its Altar Guild. She was also a former member of the Muskegon Service League and of the Garden Club. Ev was preceded in death by her husband Arling on August 20, 2006 after being married over 64 years. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Franklin. Evelyn is lovingly survived by 2 children, Kay (Mike) Olthoff of Norton Shores, Scott (Sandy) Jensen of Delafield, WI; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, Jason (Jamye) Olthoff and their children Sydney and Kalen, Christopher (Amy) Olthoff, Nancy Olthoff, Betsy (Nate) Labatt and their daughters Ava and Jenna, Emily Jensen and her daughter Madelyn, Andrew Jensen and his fiancée Caroline Smith; and by one sister-in-law, Doris Franklin. FUNERAL SERVICES for Evelyn will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church (3225 Roosevelt Rd., Muskegon, MI 49441) with Pastor George Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION with Evelyn’s family will be 6-8PM Friday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S.
