Mrs. Evelyn Doris Rokos' Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Doris Rokos, age 92, passed away October 28, 2012. Evelyn was born in Muskegon on July 1, 1920 to John and Gertrude (Kessler) VanderVeen. She lived in the Muskegon area her whole life and worked at Parsons Department Store for 35 years. She married Francis Rokos in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1990. Evelyn is SURVIVED by her children, Sandra (Don) Haan, Toni (John) Rademaker, Steve (Sharon) Rokos; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Jean (Jim) Larson. She was PRECEDED in death by her parents; husband, Francis; brother, Don (Evelyn) VanderVeen; sisters, Mildred VanderVeen, Marion (Ray) Herrala; special friend, Jim Lumley. There will be a VISITATION from 6-9 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. The FUNERAL will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Lee Chapel. Interment will be at Mona View Cemetery.
