Evelyn Ruth Rop's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn R. Rop, age 84, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 28, 2013, in Muskegon. She was born August 24, 1929 in Grand Rapids to Henry and Grace (Heitmeyer) Dalman; and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1949. Evelyn attended Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed gardening flowers, crocheting and cooking. On March 23, 1957 she married Jack H. Rop and he survives her along with 2 sons, Douglas (Vicki) Rop of Middleville and Dan Rop of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Marjorie (Harold) Kohlas of Conklin, MI and Mary Ann (Don) Collier of Ocean City, NJ. Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Joni Lynn Rop in 2004. SERVICES will be 11AM Wednesday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. John Rop officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. VISITATION with Evelyn’s family will be 5-8 PM Tuesday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Sanctuary at McAuley will be appreciated.
