Evelyn Eva Seabolt's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Eva Seabolt, age 91, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 in Muskegon. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on October 4, 1929 to Roy and Vera (Rietenberg) Ritchey. Evelyn was a member of Beacon Light Community Church and was an avid reader of her Bible. She enjoyed sewing, singing, and collecting porcelain dolls, angels, and birds. She also enjoyed using her talents to decorate cakes and arrange flowers for family and friends weddings. On May 3, 1947, Evelyn married Edward L. Seabolt Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by three children, Dianna (Clay) Bebout, Loraine (George) Hefter, and Karl (Denise) Seabolt; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Monji; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Edward, she was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Kirk Harpe and Jeff Harpe; one infant brother; and three sisters, Helen Walker, Grace Johnson, and Edith Mahan. SERVICES for Evelyn will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Beacon Light Community Church, 6031 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Monday, September 27, 2021 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 and one hour prior to her service at church. Burial will be in Egelston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider Beacon Light Community Church.
