Evelyn Ruby Louise Smith's Obituary
Evelyn Ruby Louise Smith, age 87, passed away at home with her family by her side, Sunday, January 12, 2020. She was born July 28, 1932 in Texas County, Missouri to Omar and Eunice (Beloit) Pyatt. Evelyn had worked for the City of Muskegon as Deputy Assessor for 13 years prior to retiring in 1989. On August 21, 1953, she married Bernard Smith in Hawaii and he preceded her in death in May of 2011. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, knitting, and collecting, but most importantly, she loved spending time with family. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Gloria Smith and grandson, Jason Kuzyk. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Alida Smith in 2016. SERVICES for Evelyn will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2020 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100 with the Pastor Jerry DePoy officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
