Evelyne R. Broek's Obituary
Evelyne R. Broek, age 99, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016. She was born on July 11, 1916 to Frederick and Grace (Sutherland) Hetchler in Argentine, MI. Evelyne was a faithful member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She is survived by her nieces, Gail (Mike) Whittaker and Judy Yonker; stepchildren; step grandchildren and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Walter Solomon, John Broek; three brothers and two sisters. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Evelyne will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church (4475 Henry St.) on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery at a later date. For a more lasting memory, contributions in Evelyne’s name can be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100).
