Mrs. Evelyn M. Laukkanen, age 87, passed away Wednesday morning, April 22, 2009 in Muskegon. She was born July 30, 1921 to Anthony and Jennie (VanDyke) Lazzaroni in Kenosha, WI, and moved to Muskegon from Illinois 20 years ago. Evelyn had worked in the office of Gunter Accounting,was the previous owner of the Half-Moon Saloon, and was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur. SURVIVORS include 1 son, Lloyd (Lou) Laukkanen of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren, Carla (Marco) Aguilar of Plainfield, IL, Christine (James) Helmka of Nunica, John Laukkanen of Grand Rapids, Erika Nelson of Muskegon; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 daughter-in-law, Pat (Larry) Houseman of Muskegon. She was also preceded in death by 3 sons; John, Charles, and Robert; 3 brothers and 1 sister. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at
